This cutter does what it says it will.
A few frustrations:
Instructions for set up and use are not very detailed. FAQs did not add any clarity to the set up process.
The blade was covered in grease....which may be necessary, but was not mentioned in any paperwork. Took me cleaning VERY carefully with paper towels and repeated cuts on scrap paper to get it all off.
Great Value easy to use and makes everything else old style or more expensive
I got the 12" Guillotine Stack Paper Cutter about a week after I had placed the order. It works very good when I used it to cut the edge of a 300 pages book. The blade is sharp and the cutting side is perfect. I wish to have this machine years ago.
I've been on the fence about getting one of these cutters for a few years, relying on my old, smaller paper cutter. After using it the first time, I wished I had bought one of these years ago. It has already saved me hours of cutting tiny stacks of paper, not to mention the frustration of my smaller cutter creeping on the cut, ruining pages. I use this for making zines (small magazines) and can't recommend it enough.
